Anxiety Therapy for Adults in Long Island & Across New York
People experiencing symptoms of anxiety often are able to function well on the outside while internally feeling overwhelmed, self-critical, restless, or emotionally exhausted. Anxiety can affect relationships, work, academic functioning, sleep, confidence, and the ability to feel fully present in daily life.
I provide therapy for adults struggling with anxiety, excessive worry, perfectionism, and relationship stress. My approach is warm, collaborative, and individualized. I integrate psychodynamic therapy with evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), depending on each patient’s needs and goals.
As a licensed psychologist, I received extensive doctoral and postdoctoral training in both insight-oriented and cognitive-behavioral therapies. I believe effective therapy should not be one-size-fits-all. Some patients benefit from developing practical tools for managing anxiety symptoms in the present, while others want to better understand longstanding emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and underlying sources of distress.
I work particularly well with young adults, college and graduate students, and professionals navigating anxiety, life transitions, academic pressure, relationship difficulties, or high self-expectations.
Sessions are available in person in Hewlett, NY and virtually throughout New York State.
